I was on a road trip with James back in 2011. We were driving from California to New York (via the Deep South and up to Canada). I took this photo at Pismo Beach in California and came across it this morning. I still like it a lot. I feel it has a nice simplicity to it. Quite minimalist. A lot of verticals.
Continuing to catalogue old photos I came across this street preacher who I saw in West Hollywood back in 2013. Not far from Sunset Boulevard he was marching in a group of about ten, some with megaphones shouting; "Don't go to Hell. Believe in Jesus Christ." I like the closeness of the photo, and not just that you can see my reflection but that you can see see the reflection of him taking my photo.
I was cataloguing some old photos and since I posted a window from Santa Fe yesterday I figured I'd post this one from San Francisco (near Haight Ashbury I think) back form a trip in March 2011.
